The Old School

Nestling in the gently rolling countryside of the Welsh Borders, this beautiful Victorian School enjoys a peaceful, rural setting adjacent to the historic Glyndwr's Way.

Our bed and breakfast accommodation, although part of the house is completely self contained. Guests enjoy the comfort of spacious, ensuite rooms and the privacy of their own sitting / dining room. The Morning room enjoys the morning sun and has unspoilt views over open countryside. Here you can start your day with a hearty breakfast which includes local free range bacon and sausages and home made preserves. We also offer home cooked evening meals (by prior arrangement). You are assured of the warmest welcome and a relaxed, informal atmosphere where our guest’s comfort always comes first. And yet we are just 10 minutes from the pretty market town of Welshpool, 30 minutes from Shrewsbury and the stunning Lake Vyrnwy and an hour from Chester.
